generally after you stop breast feeding, your breasts will go back to the size they were before the pregnancy, though not as "perky".. :) If you are basically a big breasted gal, when you lose weight, yes your breasts will shrink, BUT you will still be busty. When I was 100 lbs., my thinnest, I was a 34 C, a good size for a small gal...now I am no longer a slim gal, and I am no longer a 34 C! My size is appropriate for my current size.

It can go both ways. Some are even smaller than they were before pregnancy after breastfeeding. But generally, you will keep some of it and some of the weight too. Unless you are a nut and diet and exercise like mad after you are finished breastfeeding, you should keep some. Yes, it's in your genes.

Another time you can gain girth in the breasts is around menopause time. You can go up a few sizes and bra cups without gaining much weight. Again, genetics plays a part but you never know which genes will play the part in your body shape or health. Women used to generalize to their mom's body type, but that is not always the case.

And a point to ponder and one you can use on other young women who want to get breast implants:

New studies show that breast augmentation (enlargement) has been shown to increase the liklihood of suicide.

Source(s): Don't depend upon them sagging after either. Mine didn't and lots of my friends didn't either, even after 3 children, all breastfed for at least 1 year.

Ok you are just baiting us. Shouldn't you be asking your doctor this question?

It depends on a lotta things, but generally after breastfeeding your boobs will "deflate" and "sag" to some degree (regardless of original size or volume). Don't freak out. It's NATURE. Those are funbags but also MILKbags. FOODbags. After multiple uses (feeding your offspring) they, like everything else under Earth's gravity, will sag a little. It's nature. Don't freak out.

    Hope you feel better.

It's different for everyone. I know women whose breasts got smaller after breastfeeding and I know women who stayed at the bigger size after breastfeeding. It's different for everyone. After my first child my breasts went up a cup size and stayed there....I had my 2nd child and my breasts have gone up another cup size.

For my sister, who has 3 kids, she has always been large- chested and after her first 2 kids her breasts went up a 2 cup sizes...with her 3rd child her breasts got bigger and then went down a cup size. She went from a full C all the way up to an F. then back to a DD....

I went from a full C, to a D, and now a DD....so who knows? It depends on your body. I do think that if you already have a large chest that it will stay large..

Now, as for weight loss...the breast has fat in it...so if you lose weight you will lose some of it in your breasts.

My suggestion is not to worry....at least not until after you have kids and get to a healthy weight that you are happy with...then after all that, take another look at your breasts.

There's no use worrying about how they look until your body is done changing and growing.

Hi, yes if you lose alot of weight then ur boobs will get smaller and it is in some peoples genes 2 b big up stairs and some to be small i think small boobs are better because as you get older there stay where they made to stay.if ur breastfeeding they will get smaller when they is no mlik left.

Some women's breasts go back down to they're normal size or smaller and some stay the pregnancy or breastfeeding size. UGH I really miss my big pregnant boobies. Seriously, lol.

There are organelles in your body called lyosomes that digest the cells not needed anymore in the breast when they are no longer used to breast feeding.

So basically, your body gets rid of the cells in the boob that aren't needed anymore.

Unfortuntly boobs go back to their normal size or sometimes even smaller.

For my wife, her boobs were huge during breast-feeding however after she stopped, they pretty much returned to their normal size. She also lost weight after the pregnancy however her boobs remained normal. I guess when you have reached a certain sized prior to any changes (pregnancy) they seem to return to that size. Hope this helps. Good Luck and enjoy those big boobs while you can...my wife and I miss them terribly. LOL.

Yup they'll stay big until breastfeeding is completed and there's no more milk present. They should definately go back to normal, but may droop slightly since they grew and then went back to normal. I wouldn't suggest losing alot of weight since it will cause droopiness moreso and stretch marks big time. Good Luck!

Boobs will be larger when you are breastfeeding because they fill with milk.

After you quit and as milk productions slows and stops, they will get smaller. In some cases they go flat and sag.
