I need some creative ideas on what to do with a LOT of carrots.?

Okay, so I went a little wild when planting them in the spring. It's been so long since I have had time to garden. Now I have more than what I know what to do with, and I hate to waste. I have already given away pounds and pounds to neighbors, stored some in buckets of sand for the winter, frozen enough to take up too much room in the freezer, and have had my fill of carrot cake. Any other suggestions?

Update:

I have horses, and THEY are sick of carrots too, lol. (Not really). I live in the middle of nowhere, but I should look for a food pantry or such that would take them.

Update 2:

I was thinking about making a fishing rod, but I'm not that talented, lol.

Update 3:

And if I did get any trick or treaters (which I won't), and gave them carrots, they would never come back again, lol.

see if you can locate some needy families, or elderly people on a fixed income, food pantries are always a good way if all else fails

Give them away to trick and treaters parents on Halloween evening. If you get any?, since you said you live in the middle of no where. Have you given any to other family members, relatives, etc?

I grew carrots around the edge of just a couple keg planters I grow tomatoes and peppers in and I have many, many carrots also.

You can make pretty hanging plants out of a few of them. Stick 3-4 toothpicks into the top, at right angles.. Then hollow out the core for maybe an inch. Suspend them by the toothpicks, and add water to the hole you made in the core. What actually happens is that the roots grow, making a huge ball of very pretty delicate white roots.

Too bad it wasn't winter, you could make a platoon of snowmen!.... you could make carrot slaw...see if your local humane society has any rabbits that they are caring for and donate them. Maybe there is a farm with horses that would enjoy them nearby?

Use them to lure unsuspecting bunnies onto your property. Then take the bunnies and feed them until they are enormously fluffy. Once fluffy enough create a legion of superhuge bunnies to take over the world!

dill them for sandwiches, salads or just enjoy them dilled.
