Wedding song first dance bride and groom?
My boyfriend and I are getting married next year and I'm trying to come up with a song for to dance to at the reception.
I've narrowed it down to three
Magnet and Steel- Walter Eagan ( I really love this song and we have been glued to each other from the day we met so it fits)
You're Still the One and Forever and For Always- Shania Twain (I love both these songs so sweet and seem like good fits for our first dance as husband and wife)
Whats everyone else's favorite of the three or any of your own favs out there.

We had Amazed by Lonestar. I like 'you're still the one' from the three you have chosen.

I think this song will be good for your wedding song by Shania Twain You're Still the One and Forever and For Always

I think its a great idea to combine the two, when guests have to sit through 2 separate dances, they get bored and restless. I suggest having the bride start dancing with her father then having the groom and his mother join halfway through the song though. I wish I remembered the song that the couple of the last wedding I went to used.

I'd go with Forever and for always - it's just a beautiful romantic song. The only thing is that it's a little faster than a nice waltz. I, too, love Magnet and Steel - it would be a novel choice as well! Would be easier to waltz to.

I think You're Still the One is way too typical and cheesy, not very personal. So I would go with the other one (I have never heard of it, though..)
My husband and I danced to Up and Away by Dave Matthews. If I had to do it again, we would dance to Moondance or Crazy Love by Van Morrison

hi, congrats on your upcoming wedding. pick a song that means the most to the both of you, sounds like magnet and steel from the way youve written it first. ive been to 7 weddings in the past few years, and 5 of them had Shania Twain songs, its been done to death, and lost a bit of its sparkle.

Out of those three I love "Forever and for Always." Our first dance song is going to be "The Chair" by George Strait, because it is similar to how we first met. Just choose something meaningful for the both of you, and something that is easy to dance to. We have also decided to have a last dance song since it was so hard to choose just one!! Congrats!

We're probably going to do Adam Sandler's Wanna Grow Old with You, since it's our song and it fits our personalities. By the way you wrote it, looks like Magnet and Steel would be it, and like you've said, "it fits".
Congratulations!

"Always" by Irving Berlin. It is old, but it is one of the sweetest songs ever. It is also a beautiful song to slow dance to.
I think of the three you chose, Magnet and Steel is a good one

Def pick a song that means the most to you and your guy. Like, whenever you hear it, you think of him and vice versa.
My fiance and I have Heaven as our song, we really love the DJ Sammy version of it too so we're dancing to the Bryan Adams version and then the rest of the party dances to DJ's.
