What is the main difference between Euclid's and Newtonian understanding of space?

I need this for a short thesis, but I have no time to find the appropriate literature. Thanks for the help. :)

Newton used Euclidean Geometry as the method to describe the universe he lived in. The difference that Newton made was to add time as though it were a dimension.

Einstein is the one that really changed geometry. His theory of gravity eliminates some assumptions critical to Euclidean Geometry. Einstein's general relativity theory requires that the Universe is finite but unbounded. That means that if one were able to continue traveling in a straight line long enough one would return to the starting point. This is inconsistent with either Euclidean or Newtonian geometry.
