Can I reuse heatsink from a Socket 473 P4 rated to 3.4 GHz to a Socket 939 Athlon 64 X2?
It is a used aftermarket copper heatsink, I know heatsinks can reused on same grade CPUs, what was the one cleaning out used and harden thermal paste?
Oh that Athlon 64 X2 is dual-core rated 3800+ 2.0 GHz.

go to the heatsink mfg web site to see what it will fit OR try looking the heatsink up on a retail web site like newegg to see what it will fit

Only if you have Socket 939 mounts for it. Should always clean the old heatsink paste off cpu and heatsink with Isopropyl Alcohol and apply new paste anytime you take a heatsink off.

I would not use an old CPU fan get a new one.
Most old CPU fan speeds are too slow and will make your CPU over heat and blow your mother board or CPU from the heat.
Most newer CPU's will let off a lot more heat when 1. over clocked or 2.used on a full time base(24/7).
Don't take risk look after your CPU.
