Can God be wrong?

I think people may interpret God's word incorrectly, but God is infallible.

By the conventional concept of a God and the powers and capabilities invested in Him,it's unthinkable that He can ever go wrong.On the other hand,let's suppose God does go wrong at some point of time,the questions arise,(a)who is competent to identify the mistake?(b)Who can sit in judgment and declare Him a wrong Doer and ,(c)Can such a wrong doing be rectified,by making God as a party to this process?.It's evident that your question is a mere academic exercise and isn't even sufficiently amusing, and nobody,including atheists shall accept it.So,what's your take on it ?

If we're talking about the God of Abraham, then no, God can't be wrong, because by definition, everything that God says, thinks, or does, is Right in the purest form.

However, if you take the notion of the God to be whatever is responsible for 'creating' us or the universe, then it's highly possible that God could be fallible, since it could simply be an ordinary being of a higher order than we are.

From a religious standpoint though the God of Abraham is never 'wrong'. All right is based off the will and whatever of that God. A 'mistake' by God would be impossible for the followers to perceive since it would redifine right and wrong and the universe as a whole.

God is not a being that is created by another god; neither does God create himself into existence. Rather, God has always existed as an unchanging, completely actualized being.

God has his Being of himself and to himself such that he is Absolute being and the definition of existence.

Since God’s essence is his nature and God’s existence is the same as his essence it follows that God is existence.

That all depends on what your perception of what wrong is. there's a line of thought that says the concept of good and evil is where unity ends. The "who told you you were naked" scenario in the garden of Eden when innocence, ie non-judgment, ate of the tree of knowledge (of right and wrong.)

If the God of Abraham is indeed omniscient omnipotent and omnipresent, then in our material perception of right and wrong, we've split God into two, and our interpretation of God has to include that which we label wrong as well as right! Since he put the tree of knowledge there! It seems wrong that the creator of all put a wise and enticing serpent, (also a creation of God) in that garden...which led to the fall! but it also seems so right.

So maybe the answer is, yes..and no!

Completely infallible. That doesn't mean that He won't give us the chance to mess up though. Just like a parent, God wants us to obey Him, but God will not force us to be that way.

Assuming god is real, than study of the interaction between god and humans clearly indicates that God is totally uninterested in human affairs, or the affairs of any other life form.

The other option, of course, is the response you want to avoid.

God is always wrong!!!! many are there without food, clothes shelter, and you are here having all the facilities with the internet and asking questions can god can be wrong.... imagine if something happens in reverse dat u don hav food clothes and shelter you will be saying god u r so wrong...
