I usually group the muscle groups together, and do back and biceps on one day and chest and triceps on another day. Legs and abs on alternating days. It also is important to use a heavy enough weight. How heavy are the weights you lift? If they are not heavy enough you wont be getting enough resistance to make a difference. It should be just heavy enough to be able to do 10 - 12 reps and feel "the burn" in the muscle you are working out. If you want to bulk up use more resistance and if you want to tone then use less. Hope this helps!

Your exercise plan is excellent. Your motivation and commitment should also be strengthened. The building blocks of muscle are proteins and water, and also vitamin, mineral, carbs, and fat.
I hope you succeed.
