Brad Pitt question?

I think he started out ..."okay", then he got better.

Now I think he's a fantastic, talented actor and he'll just get better and better.

Sorry, there's no way you can compare him to Brad Pitt. He's a kid with no life experience and very little ability. Yet. Though I do believe he will GROW into a fine actor. See "Kingdom of Heaven" for a very good performance by Bloom.

Granted, Seven Years in Tibet is not one of his better performances, but that whole movie is problematic, from writing and directing perspectives as well. But I think Pitt is a smart, capable crafty actor, one who's handled tricky roles well in such movies as Fight Club, Seven, and especially Twelve Monkeys, for which he deservedly earned an Oscar nomination.

You're right about accent roles being especially difficult, though I'm not sure why you think Orlando Bloom (who's English) could handle a German/Austrian accent any better than the American Pitt did.

I think you need to watch Meet Joe Black and Fight Club. He is better in those movies. He is not a bad actor. He is just not the kind of actor you are looking for.....

He is a popular actor because the girls all think he is hot. I agree with you that he is a poor actor and there is no way in hell I ever see him winning an oscar.

He's a good actor - perhaps not a great one. In certain roles (like "Fight Club" or "Babel") he is excellent. He can also be miscast sometimes.
