Adam and Eve were ....monkeys?
ok i have been giving this a lot of thought for some odd reason.... that adam and eve were possibly monkeys, who were told by satan to go eat the apple they shouldnt have, which then made them smarter and started evolution.has anyone else ever had this thought?just wondering
wow,i did not realise such a simple question would have such serious answers

By religious start, they were humans, initially full of love and happiness woven all around and devoid of all miseries and sorrows, till she plucked that apple and they were just one Adam and one Eve and none else!
But for the evolutionary science of acceptance of man out of ape, yes there was thousands of Adams and Eves, (perhaps more eves for each Adam!) and the roll on after the fruit bite could well be a science too, since a new feedstock (food) made them to have a new bloodstock, changing the ape to human !

No, Adam and Eve never existed as far as I'm concerned.
We did evolve from monkeys though.
But seriously, when you think of some of the things the in bible with a different mind set than a Christian, you see how little sense the stories in the bible make...

It seems you have it just the opposite way around. It some times seems that we are the monkeys that evolved from Adam and Eve. Has anyone else ever had that thought? Just wondering.

No, Adam and Eve were the first conciousness! Look:
1:1 - In the beginning, god created the heaven and the earth
(In the beginning, mind created the physical plane)
1:2 - And the earth was without form, and void; darkness was upon the face of the deep, the spirit of god moved upon the face of the waters
(And there shall always be mind, and mind creates mind and all actions.)
1:3 - And God Said, Let there be light, and there was light
(And mind willed good to triumph over a new force, and that force was evil.)

This isn't a fantasy movie, it's real life. No god 'told' the monkeys not to eat a piece of fruit and then satan popped up and contradicted him. Humans and monkey's evolved from a common ancestor. Beginning and end of story. No Eden. No Apple. Get over it, folks.

I knew there had to be a reason why I like climbing trees and eating banana's so much....loll.....thanks for the refreshing question....btw...the "eating of the apple" represents the taking of knowledge from the "outside" in other words getting an education...thus signifying the end of innocence...

WOW! I am in awe of the number of people here believing the Bible's creation story to be the beginning of mankind??? HOLY CRAP! Did you not read the part of the story that came next? How they had 2 sons...? And suddenly when one killed the other the world somehow had been further populated so that Cain could be ostracized?
Its a story...and not a very good one at that. I actually prefer the story that this person asks to the one in the Bible.

if you are in support of the whole evolution theory, let me first point out that it is a theory not a law. that means that noone has proven or disproven it; however, let me ask you a question, If we evolve, why then has the process stopped with us? Surely there is a more intelligent race, right? if the buck stops here, we're truly in trouble. I think the evolution theory is false and that we were and are definately created. Genesis says that God created "Man" in his image...if Adam and Eve were monkeys, God is also a monkey and we have superceded God right? Have fun!

Adam and Eve were the first creations of God. He fashioned them as the most beautiful man and woman. And none of their discendents looked like monkeys.

No, never had that thought. I like it. Not because I think it is true, but because I think it is funny. That means when God created Man in his own image, he created a monkey. LOL. I also LOLed from your implication that evolution started at monkeys, you know, instead of single celled bacteria like organisms.
