I wear my fur any time when its below 0 Celsius or 32 Fahrenheit.
Real fur coats are natural fibers that are incredibly warm. With proper care they can last you a lifetime or several generations. They can also be recycled to update the look.
Now as for the ethics of wearing fur, I think it's perfectly fine to wear what you want and not to be dictated by other people's hate. They clearly demonstrate that unless humans are completely free of hate, envy or greed, there will be unethical fur farms/hunters out there.
Most fur farms are regulated and I believe unless we stop churning out babies who will consume more resources and take up more space on this planet, these fur farms may contain the only wildlife that aren't extinct.
I also think nature is all about death and dying and if you look in your backyard or park carefully, nothing goes to waste. Everything gets used... except maybe synthetic fibers.
Stop listening to the propaganda, enjoy, respect and take care of your fur. It will take care of you for years to come!

Unless you live in the Artic circle on a research station, or in Siberia or another area with extreme cold climate that synthetics don't work very well or are not available, wearing fur just is plain wrong, anytime the fur is obtained only by the death of an animal. Wearing clothes that show off animal fur encourages the killing of all wildlife that can be used for fur. Even if you wear rabbit fur, which is not endangered, it makes other people want to have something they consider "better" so they can one-up you. The more this stupidity happens, the more the animal's coats are worth. The more an animal's fur costs, the more likely poaching and destruction of wildlife will happen. Think about it. Do you really want the fur peeled off the carcass of some poor creature who was likely killed in a cruel manner, and may not even be dead yet when skinned, with no regard for any offspring that might be dependent on that animal (the hunters usually just leave with the hides and then the cubs starve to death.)
Buy something else that shows you are above the need to show off by wearing fur, which just looks disgusting anyway, and let the world see you are a better person than that. BTW, sheep and goats have fur which is harvested without harming or killing the animal.

You can wear it. I am against killing animals so make sure that the company that you buy fur from uses the rest of the animal for something useful instead of wasting it. I also hate endangered animal fur. There should be more restrictions on it. I am, as silly as this may sound, against Faux fur most of the time too. It is more harmful to the environment than real fur is. I hate it when I hear environmentalists say to use Faux fur rather than real. I can understand not using real fur, but making Faux fur isn't too good either. So I'm kinda against and with fur under certain circumstances. It does seem very ugly to have it all in a coat though. A trim around the collar of a coat wouldnt hurt much especially if the fur was being taken from an animal that was going to be killed for meat anyway.

Whenever I can. They're warm, sensuous and always draw envious comments from those without. 50 might be a bit warm, specially in the sun, but on a cloudy day or in the late afternoon or evening, 50 can feel quite cool.

You people are kinda rude, you naturally assume that it is REAL fur from an animal you make as though she slaughtered herself.
But in response to your question. I guess whenever it matches your outfit and is appropriate for the situation and cold enough to wear something like that. (50 degrees should be cold enough.)

real fur??? NEVER. why would u want a coat that took going up to 60 baby seals, killing them and stealing their fur just to make yourself a pretty little coat. (not even pretty!!!)
if its fake fur, then yeah i guess u could wear it.

I'd never wear fur. Sick killers who murder animals to have the clothes on their back. Only an idiot would do that. Even if it was Dior and costed $1 mil and I got it for free, I'd throw it in the dumpster or sell it on eBay. I think fur is gross, I think fur is dead.
