Musharraf's Gamble, Bush's Mistake?
I still don't know why Bush thinks democracy is the solution to the problems in the Middle East and Pakistan. Given a free choice, the Palestinians chose a terrorist organization to lead them, and the mess in Iraq is directly tied to the failed experiment in democracy there. Bush's naivete is disturbing, especially when time and again his "faith" in democracy to end war and terrorism is proven false.
Most middle eastern muslims favor the destruction of israel, and a hostile relationship with the US. Yet Bush believes that they will magically become US allies if given a free vote. Strong monarchies or military rulers are the only thing keeping Saudi Arabia, Yemen and other countries from becoming open enemies of the US. Pakistan's future is on a precipice. Without strong-handed leadership, the radical muslims will turn Northern Pakistan into a training ground for terrorists, and they could easily overthrow the government and take control of the country..
Bush is making the typical liberal error... holding on to false hope/dogma in the face of overwhelming evidence. Democracy cannot work in tribal or feudal societies, and pushing democracy on countries like Iraq or Pakistan is merely opening the door for radicals and terrorists to take over the country--either through the vote or with the gun.

MUSHARRAF IS PERFECT:
People who try to do things in right way as Musharraf did for Pakistan, such people are always being remembered, supported and followed. Musharraf is the perfect leader thats why until now the infected minded people are not able to prove him 100% wrong and still he is being discussed by everyone on all type of media around the world.
US HAS NO RIGHT TO ACT LIKE A BOSS:
I believe that US should not try to dictate other countries when US cannot maintain peace and bring benefit to those people.
MUSHARRAF DID SMALL MISTAKES:
All the world should accept that Musharraf is also a human like others, therefore, it is normal for him to make some emotional and least calculated decisions which are now considered as his mistakes. However, there are still many things he did rightly for the country.
Democracy or Army Rule both can be good for country only if the leadrer is honest and loyal.

Americans can't do foreign policy, they are shite at it.They cause more problems than they solve. Why don't they leave it to ' the old school' to sort out?In terms of experience America has a lot to learn.
Tiea H:Bush is tearing up the constitution as we type and your rights are being eroded far more by this administration than any preceding one.Sad really,Bush advocating democracy for other countries while whittling away at his own.
As for Japan, you do know they had made known their intent to surrender but theU.S. nuked them anyway, yeah?Guess that makes yous mass murderers and you want the troups in Iraq let off the leash!Woman,If you believe in a God he's up there waiting to tell you about all the bits you didn't adhere to.

Oh this too? Did you know that there is a severe storm heading to Mass. Did Bush plan that? How can anyone seriously think that one person can handle all of these things on his own? You obviously know nothing about the government and how it runs. Every President since Jefferson thinks that democracy is the answer.
So now Bush is causing trouble in Pakistan? How absolutely absurd.

If it is like you say Musharraf is not playing this smart.
Musharraf would have roll over and let the Muslim terrorists have their way.
He is showing some guts standing up to them.
People will see this and follow his lead.
Or do you think that radical Muslims will just stop in the Middle East if they get few victories under their belt.

I would rather make a bad choice than have no choice at all. Do you like voicing your opinion to the world? Typing what you just did about Bush? If you were in pakistan right now and said the same about their "leader" you could be put to death. You better appreciate our democracy. It took a long time and alot of mistakes for us to get this far. Pakistan is just getting used to it and learning now.
Also if any of those small countries want to make and enemy of the U.S. Let them. Ask Japan what happened when they picked a fight with us. I only wish our government would remember that and stop holding our troops back so much in iraq.

I'm not sure what your question was, or if there even was a question.
I will tell you though, that Bush as well as many American are really mistaken for believing that we will be able to make countries that have been mortal enemies for thousands of years all of a sudden get along because of our military presence.

"Bush is making a liberal error..."? Are you out of your mind? He is a conservative scumbag and what he does is very typical for conservative scumbags.
