The humping behavior has NOTHING to do with sex, or her wanting pups.. It is a behavior problem.. most likely due to her being a bit bored.. try getting involved in a class with her..

It is abnormal behavior in a dog, to do this,, reguardless if she was spayed or not.. and a sighn of another BEHAIOR problem..

As far as having her inseminated.. Well you could but it would not work..

A SPAY is not a tubal ligation.. But a complete removal of both the uterus and ovaries.. it cannot be reversed.. the organs are gone..

Tubal ligation is not done in dogs,, one because the anatomy is diffrent,, they do not have tubes like humans.. but horns on the uterus.. and also if you do not remove the ovaries, and uterus but only ligate..the dog may not be able to have pups.. But still would have seasons, be at high risk for mamory cancer and infections of the uterus.. several of the Biggest benifits of spaying.. along with population control..

She is not missing being a mom,, actually in wild dog populations several of the lower females NEVER have pups.. so there is nothing unatural about never having a litter.. you are putting a human emotion/need on your dog.. if you feel really sorry.. Make it up to her by doing MORE with her.. dogs are social animals and their primary needs drives are for social interaction, play, excersise, training and love.. not sex or puppies..

Unfortunately, no... she can't. Her uterus, ovaries, etc... have been removed.

However, kudos on considering her wishes, even if a bit late. I certainly think spaying/neutering is often a necessary evil, but I wish people would stop being so righteous about it. How would most of you feel if, while you were a child, your parents had your bits ripped out so you could never have the choice of whether or not you want kids? How many would support such a procedure mandatory for all children... need I point out that humans are over-populated, too... so really, it would be responsible of parents to do so!

  • No, a spay in an animal is a complete hysterectomy. She has no uterus, so cannot be inseminated.

You were her RESPONSIBLE OWNER to decide if she has babies, because you would have been responsible for the lives of any and all puppies that she gave birth to (which is something that irresponsible breeders conveniently forget, once they have the money in their pockets - they're puppies, not a pair of shoes).

And if she's your service animal, the last thing you need her doing is having puppies and taking her attention away from her JOB.

  • A dog spay is about the same as a human hysterectomy. Everything's taken out; ovaries, tubes, uterus, all gone. So there's no way your vet could inseminate your dog.

A tubal ligation is getting the fallopian tubes tied. This is done in humans, rarely done in dogs. If your dog had this done, it might be possible to reverse it.

A regular spay is just what everyone else said. All the organs are removed and she will never be able to have babies.

It extremely relies upon on your philosophy. in case you're a to blame puppy proprietor and could be controlling your pets, so as that they do no longer impregnate, or grow to be pregnant, some experience it extremely is optimal to attend till the animal reaches adulthood. this could particularly be actual in case your dogs is a dogs activities athlete, as some have self belief waiting to spay helps the musculo-skeletal device to strengthen nicely. additionally, spaying very early, a minimum of in canines, may bring about a syndrome nicely-known through fact the "long skinnies", the place the dogs develops disproportionately long legs. this is not any longer nicely-known if this difficulty leads to weak point or susceptibility to harm. despite the fact that, waiting till later may additionally bring about problems, particularly with spraying (male cats), and staining (male puppies). Spaying early can dodge those subject concerns. additionally, for canines, intact men can entice destructive habit from different canines. plenty to think of approximately on the two element. If this have been my vet, i think of i might experience slightly constrained, and additionally no longer supported in looking the perfect man or woman option for me and my puppy. yet it relatively is me.

A spay procedure is a full hysterectomy. The only remainder of her genitalia is the outside.
