I have a small family Christmas get together every year I'm looking for something different?

Why not try pot luck or buffet style get together.. Have people bring appetizers, a main dish,side or dessert. Just be sure to know ahead of time what everyone is bringing so you don't get doubles of anything. That's kinda something in the middle... Do this and decorate the tree... Give a special Christmas ornament as a small token. good luck

Last year for Christmas Eve we did.......Pizza. Reason I did it was because my mother use to always that we should do pizza. Last year was one year since she had passed away, I did pizza. I had her on my mind. I haven't even thought about this year. My brother in law and his wife do Enchiladas with her family. I remember when I was oh probably 10 years old, my aunt cooked what we call steak and rice, it's a really good meal, meat is sliced into strips, cut up celery, shredded carrots, cream of mushroom soup, garlic salt, salt and pepper. Cook up the steak, get a big pot, put it in, put the cream of mushroom, and the rest of the ingredients in. Cook for a few, It's good.

why doesn't your family go shopping together for small gift items of purfumes,aftershaves,nail care sets,blanket throws and donate them to a retirement community .

i do a buffet/potluck every year...everyone makes something different...I mean food is food.. its just getting together that is the fun part.
