Do Thai people that work at Thai restaurants eat Thai food every day?
my guess is that they do. I really can't see them mixing it up with Italian, Mexican, or Indian food. Ahhhh to eat Thai every day, sounds good to me!

It would suck, because Thai peanut sauce is not good.

They sure do! I know because I work in a business that deals with over 250 restaurants in Sydney. Many of our clients are Thai.
The thing I love about the Thai Restaurants, is that each one is like a family. At the end of each shift, they cook a feast and sit down together and relax, joke around and enjoy each others company and the great food. If you happen to be present at this time, they are often most insistent that you join them.
Many of the restaurants have an upstairs apartment, where the owners and/or workers live. My fiance stayed with the the owners and workers of one Thai restaurant for about a month. He fondly remember the parties and the feasts that went on for hours, with new meals and side dishes brought out continuously.
Thai people generally love their food. It's very intertwined with their culture and it's a big part of their lives.
Another thing I'll say for Thai restaurants is that the majority of them (unlike most restaurants) are spotless. You could eat off the kitchen floor. They take pride in their work and that includes keeping their kitchens beautiful.
Thai restaurants rock :)

They probably do because Thai food is what the restaurant serves. I know a Thai family that owns a restaurant and since I live in a relatively small town, I see family members out eating often, but I have never seen them at another Thai restaurant.

I was a waitress at my parent's thai restaurant and at first I ate Thai food everyday when I worked, but after a while I got bored and decided to eat out sometime... but yeah, most of the time I would eat thai food.

Thai will probably eat their food every day and not just Pad Thai because there is such a great choice. They might also cook dishes that are not on the menu since western wouldn't eat certain thai specialities.

Yeah but they usually add in other thai food that is not seen in the menu. There a lot more thai food that is not on the menu because it does not fit in with the western palette.

I don't think so. Can you imagine yourself eating pad thai with each day that comes?! I love Thai food, but even if I were a Thai cook, I'd want to try something else. This question is somewhat similar to asking, "Do Italian chefs only eat Italian cuisine?" Nope, check out the chef in No Reservations.

That's a hilarious question! To answer very simply, it varies :).
I worked at a Thai restaurant for a month or so and every night I worked, I got free thai food :) They would cook stuff like liver (I accidentally ate it lol, it looked so much like beef I forgot to ask, and I HATE liver!!), green beans, fish, etc. Sometimes, they would buy like a rotissiere (sp) chicken and we'd just peel the chicken and eat it with rice. It depends on the cook, really :)!
I also worked at a Chinese restaurant for like four years, and my boss usually makes me some Chinese food, like Mapo Tofu (Spicy Beancurd), Braised Chicken, and then sometimes she'd make me Americanized chinese food, like Pepper Steak and Chicken Fried Rice. :) Whatever it was, it was YUMMY! I love my boss lol. I wanna go eat some Chicken Fried Rice or Shrimp Lo Mein now! LOL.

I'm sure the enjoy eating their own ethnic food, sometimes I'm sure they would want something different. I'm want variety when I eat, not just Thai, Italia, Chinese or whatever I'm in the mood for.

i worked in a chinese restaurant, and we certainly ate (free) lunch from the cooks daily.
i'd think that since workers usually get a free meal (at least i always did) then they probably do eat thai all the time.
i could eat phad see ew daily!

Workers in restaurants usually eat there . But I have found that in most cases, they prefer to eat simply, probably because one gets tired of eating rich food everyday - its not good for you too.
We usually grab a bit of rice, and one curry or mixing dish and maybe one vegetable dish while eating.
