If the Miami Dolphins don't win any games this season, does that cancel out the 1972 undefeated team?
I seriously don't want to see them not win a game. I've always liked the Dolphins.

I think more than annulling the '72 team, it redeems the '76 winless Buccaneers.
Since the Rams and Dolphins don't play each other, we could technically see two winless teams this year.

No not at all. In 72 the league was completely different, the players was different, etc. This franchise will always be known by the 14-0 season even if another teams has a 16-0 season. No amount of losing can change that.

No, because it is 35 years later so a totally different team. Although maybe in 35 years the 2007 Dolphins may be toasting the last team to WIN a game lol.

It does not take away from the 1972 team because there are no players on today's team that played for the 72 team (obviously). Therefore, nobody on the 72 team should care whether or not they lose all their games. By the way, I think that they have a good shot at losing all their games. They have no offense and their defense is old.

You can't compare the Dolphins now to the '72 Dolphins. It would be too great an injustice to a superb team, maybe one of the best of all times.

Nah, hopefully they won't remain winless (i've always liked them too for some reason.) But even if they do stay 0-16, that can never take away from the 72 season! :)

lol - my hubby is a huge phins fan -- and always cheers when a previously undefeated team loses, just to preserve the phins record from 72 as the only undefeated season... i'm gonna try this reasoning on him...
I was hoping the colts would do it, but now... go pats!

How do you figure this. Does the Steelers not having Super Bowl teams in the 80's cancel out their great run through them in the 70's - NO!!!
