Christmas bonus?

I work for a large corporation. The last time they gave out Christmas bonuses was in 1998. I was wondering if anyone gets them anymore. If so, do you work for a large corp, or small business?

I used to get a bonus when the company was still owned by a small conglomerate (we were one of about 10 businesses owned by the same group). When the company was sold to a large corporation and then went public, bonuses were nonexistent (unless you were in the top 5 managerial wise). Slowly salaries were decreased as well, all in the name of corporate greed. Our previous management said bonuses were their way of expressing a thank you for the hard work we performed year round and to show how they appreciated every worker, regardless of their rank. I guess those times are history.

I wish we did,I work in accounting and me and the Girls was talking the other day ,How we wish our boss would give us a Christmas Bonus instead we have a Big party and play casino games and we get fake money when we win and then we bid on presents with our money,Don;t get me wrong there nice gifts, just to mention a few digital camera, play station 2 and the list goes on.I would rather have a bonus and I know it would be much cheaper for our Boss But it is our work place who is invited and then like the mayor and his wife and the bosses family and friends.

I don't think the hospital gives Christmas bonuses, I know they give one in the middle of summer. I just started there, my friend, mother in law and my husbands aunt work there. Only bonus I've heard is the one I mentioned. Would be nice to get one. Would definately help out this year.

Our Christmas present is on the market in a Christmas card. each twelve months. My boss who's a Jehovah Witness, in basic terms renames it to a end of the twelve months bonus and accepts it, in spite of it coming in a happy trip journeys card. One time we had won a Halloween gown up contest, which they did not take area in. yet, while the money we won grew to become into exceeded out, yet another Jehovah Witness asked it grew to become into trip money. That if it have been, he ought to not settle for it, yet...if it grew to become into referred to as end of the twelve months bonus money, he ought to. The boss reported this is regardless of you decide on it to be. He then commonly used the money. i might say there are 2 much less of the one hundred forty four,000 going to the enormous abode.

Yup and they are sweet! Its a fairly large family owned business not a corporation. My daughters company has them also. But her company is a world wide corporation.
