It is actually "Avada Kadavra". It does sound like that, but the person who posted the movie clip probably put it in their, or the movie maker did. In the books, Bellatrix uses a stunning curse on Sirius, and the thing that killed him was when he fell through the veil.

It does sound like that in that clip a bit. But if you read the book you know that she says "avada kedavra", which is the killing curse. I doubt the director would have let something like that slip. Especially for a movie on a topic that has a huge worldwide following. Most people I know who have read the books have thought the fifth was the clearly the best, until the seventh came out. So I'm sure there was increased scrutiny on this movie.

Well, first of all, when there's going to be a spoiler in your question, you should warn people about it by putting "SPOILER ALERT" before the spoiler.
Now, to answer your question. The killing curse is "Avada Kadavra". Yes, it does sound a lot like "Abra Cadabra", but I think that's how J.K. Rowling wanted it. Avada Kadavra is the Killing Curse and one of three Unforgivable Curses in the wizarding world. Voldemort tried to use it on Harry, put the magic of Harry's mother's love protected him making him the infamous "Boy Who Lived".

"avada kedavra" is the killing curse. Yes it does sound the same and i thought exactly that, however, if you read the books, it is not abra kedabra

Avada Kedavra sounds like "abracadabra" because that is the "magic" saying it was based off of. JKR said she needed a curse, and that is what came to mind.
