I had an MRI scan on my lower back and it came back negative.?

I have also had x-rays and ultrasound done on my back. Noone can give me answers. Everything turned out negative. I have a hump above my buttocks. And I have so much pain that sometimes it gets so bad that I feel that I am going to pass out. What should I do? The doctor put me on celebrex and that is it. I hurt so bad will do anything. Any advise?

Update:

i can't lay on my back. It hurts soooo bad. I have to pop it all the time all day long. It kinda feels like my hips seem out of wack I know that sounds funny but there is lots of pain.

That sounds terrible – I’m sorry to hear about the pain ur in. celebrex is an anti-inflammatory so if it gives some relief we can say something is swelling somewhere. If you get no relief from celebrex then the pain is caused by something else. The fact that the MRI looks good is a very good sign. Any messed up discs, or vertebrae or pinched nerves would have shown up there. You say you have to “pop it” all the time – that doesn’t sound good.

Does this give you relief? Meaning you twist a certain way and then it feels better?

Given the tests showed nothing wrong its possible this will go away in a few weeks. But I’m curious, what triggered this pain? Did you fall? I would either apply heat or ice depending on which ones feels better. If it was an impact of some kind give it time to rest. I wouldn’t “pop” anything, and just chill for a week or two. People with back injuries heal much much faster if they rest. Moving around just adds weeks to recovery time….

    good luck
