San Francisco airport transfer?
What is my cheapest option from the airport to let's say Fisherman's Wharf? Once I get there, I can get to my hotel. I'd prefer public transit if possible.

Take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit System). It is a high speed monorail/train thing and will take you from SFI to Hyde Street in downtown. From there you can transfer to a cable car for a ride to the wharf. It is a great way to go.

No need to make a reservation, although the pre-pay is sort of convenient. Just walk over to the shuttle area; vans come frequently. If you do Super Shuttle, they'll have a person there who'll ask where you're going and will put you with a group. Downtown is a common destination, so you should get a ride right away. And I think SS just went up to $18, but it's cheaper than a cab, which depending on traffic could run you $35-40. (However, if you have a couple of people, take a cab; the cost would be close to the same for each person, and you'll go directly to your hotel.) Have a great time in SF! Add: Lombard is a big street, so there's no way to know where your hotel is. I have a feeling it'll be closer to the Marina rather than downtown.

If you BART and then connect to the cable car (Powell Street station) to go over the hill to Fisherman's Wharf, it will cost you about $10. However, if you have luggage, I wouldn't recommend that route.
A shuttle will take you from the airport directly to your hotel for about $18.
