Does anyone really want to know what the future is going to bring?

Just having a 'convo' with a friend of mine and am intrigued to know how many would be interested and why?

Update:

James W

nope, 'connections' can sometimes be classed as 'future' and it's not nice

Update 2:

I do. That's why I read the horoscopes. That's why I listen to my instincts and try to follow a certain paths.

That's why I set goals, have a family, acquire some things.........all for the future that I wish I knew or someone could predict. Others don't want to know and that's okay, but I do. It's a personal choice. I want to do as much as I can in this lifetime and would live differently if I knew when I was going to die.

Human curiosity about the future has been around for a long time. I find it interesting that religion, the bible, speaks often of the future, not just of the past.

Some things i would like to know and some things are best left unknown. For example, when i need to make a choice and decide which house to buy, then i think i would like a bit of supernatural help. It has helped in the past when a psychic warned me about a flat and the neighbour problems. Later i found out that it was true and thankfully we didn't move there.

I read the tarot cards and find they help me see things that i would normally miss. It's not just plainly seeing the future, it's like getting a glimpse of insights and possibilities that help you make choices. I don't want to know everything in the future because then you would be waiting and expecting and missing out on the mystery.

It depends on wether you could alter the future after seeing it.

I'd like to see the ways that I will mess things up, so when the time comes, i wont mess it up, and will instead get it right.

But on the other hand, i don't want to see the good things that will happen to me.

    First boyfriend, ecetera (hopefully!)

I want it to be special.

And if I've seen what's going to happen.

Then there is no point living through it.

    Because it will be boring.

    How about you?

I would love to know. I talk about it a lot with my mates too...we've thought of all sorts of things such as inventions to allow you to converse with a family pet (pointless as all it would say is 'me poo','food for me', 'sniff sniff' and would cause owners much annoyance) to how all the countries in the world will be owned by mega companies....

I wish I could go into the future to see if it's like this or if humans have been wiped out by something like a meteorite or plague.

If we knew what the future is going to bring then we would have the power to change it and if we did then the predition wouldn't be right.

If you go to psychic and ask you would know, think carefully knowing your future may not be the best!!

I suppose not..although it is tempting to be one step a head .. but where is the fun when you know in advance what is coming ..
