God may be all merciful, but he also maintains a system of perfect justice.

Without such a system, the accumulated error in the universe, due to all causes, would result in it's collapse, in short order.

Your take on the bible is absolutely wrong. Your passage actually looks to the future, after the Messiah has already come.

Jesus is the righteousness of the righteous, who perfectly atoned for the sins of the wicked, reconciling man with God.

Everything in the bible points to the necessity of the Messiah and his one, time, once for all, perfect sacrifice, which fortunately, is our present day reality.

Nothing else could possible have been sufficient.

The payment for sin was always a blood sacrifice, even in Old Testament times. God allowed for an animal substitute rather than human, but this was only a temporary measure.

Jesus the Messiah's death and shed blood was the way God planned. Just because we can't fully answer *why* doesn't mean it isn't so -- God's ways are so high above our ways, and his understanding high above our understanding.

There is no other way to attain salvation, except through Jesus Christ who shed his blood and became the perfect sacrifice on our behalf, yours and mine.

God is never unjust, but God does have a standard, and nothing short of absolute purity and perfection will do. Well in the case of the Ezekiel scripture what it means is that the person committing the sin is responsible to God for it.

But in the salvation message all of us sinned when our first parents Adam and Eve disobeyed God's command.. God said they would die. And the life of any living animal or man is in the blood. A replacement for a man's life would be needed so that is why an animal sacrifice was done instead. God is the one that showed man this when he gave Adam and Eve skins of animals to cover themselves with. .

Before Adam and Eve sinned the devil revolted in heaven and took one third of the angels with him.

God is a holy God and he does not allow sin into heaven at all. The sacrifice for sin was done by animals in Judaism yearly for the people of Israel. Even pagan customs did this to appease their gods but the first incident was between

Jesus came to sacrifice himself inorder for us to be able to see TRUTH! Jesus had to die for our sins so that we could be forgiven and be able to be with the Lord. Why, because back in the B.C. times you would have to sacrifice an animal so insteaed He basically came to sacrifice His life, so we will be able to chose our eternity... this is what Ezekiel verse is getting at Ezekiel 18:

I use to wonder this when I was younger. I mean God makes the rules right? Why not just forgive without having to be crucified to forgive sins. I think the point was that God is just. Justice is an attribute of God and cannot be loopholed. Punishment is required for sin. It always has been. Otherwise, God would not be just. If he were not just...he would not be God.

Even when God does grant forgiveness of any sin or sins, they have been paid for or sacrificed for by someone. God is just and His mercy is given justly, that is someone paid a price for the mercy that we receive.

When we were found in the state of sin, that sin was towards the one (just another human being) that we did wrong to and also on the same token to life itself, and so to its author and owner, so not just to that man but to God too.

The justice of God cannot be denied. Mercy cannot rob justice of that which is His own. That is why there must be one who is willing to pay the debt. Someone who is already free. If there is one who is willing to take the consequences for another, than justice can be satisfied, and mercy can be extended.

Without the Atonement and resurrection of Christ we could not be redeemed from death or sin.

God send Jesus to us to bring us His New Covenant, THE NEW TESTAMENT; To Love one another unconditionally. Jesus had to die on the cross so the prophecy's could be fulfilled.

Correct, redemption can be obtained without the need for sacrifice. Jesus was the last Lamb for sacrifice for our sins. Through Jesus Christ blood our ransom for our sins have been paid. This is why sacrificial rituals are not required like it was practiced in the Old Testament. Because Jesus died for our sins, all we need to do to obtain redemption is to believe and praise in Jesus Christ as Our Lord Savior and the Son of God.

According to the Bible sacrifice was just about the most important law in the old testament. Surely you do not claim sacrifice was not needed!!!! Ever hear of the law of Moses? There were MILLIONS of sacrifices in old testament and they all pointed to the sacrifice that would be made by Christ.
