Was Noah's flood caused by global warming melting the polar ice caps?

All God had to do was turn up the sun by 1 or 2 degrees and melt the ice caps. The rain did come down however. The word of God says it rained 40 days and forty nights. It does not say anything about extreme temperatures melting any ice though. Nice try but no.

yes it probably contributed. Records show that 'Greenland' (now covered in ice) was a warm and green island. The earth was hotter then...thus more water.
Look at Egypt, it wasnt always a desert, in fact it also used to be lucious and green from rain, the Nile flooded regulaly.
Now I don't know exactly Noah was supposed to have been (its probably either conjecture or fokelore, probably turkey) but floods and natural disasters are nothing new in the middle east, the flood only had to be around low lying lands to have been devastating enough to work its way into traditional stories (flooding the whole earth is practically impossible, even if you use all the water vapour in the sky, along with the ice caps). So good point. thanks,

The ice interior the Arctic Circle, yet no longer the Antarctic Circle has been shrinking maximum summers for roughly 10,000 years. With the soil uncovered, much less gentle is pondered, which hurries the melting. something of Earth has warmed approximately one degree c interior the previous 112 years or their abouts, on the customary; in all probability an prolonged term problem, yet possibly in elementary terms a minor inconvenience the subsequent 50 years. worldwide warming is possibly a secondary element, no longer substantial. We are still in the big melt period, mans footprint just speeded it up. I'd like to know what caused the ice-ages.

Nope, not enough water in the polar icecaps to flood the entire globe.
