What is a Family Secret that No One in you Family EVER talks about?

That my late grandmother had an affair *(this was in the 1940's!!) and had a baby while still with my grandfather (they split up shortly afterwards). I didn't know about that until after she died and did always wonder why the family treated my youngest aunt differently and why my grandfather wanted nothing to do with her.

My father's mother had him out of wedlock and abandoned him in the 1930's. He was adopted by his grandparents. No one in the family will talk about his biological father. No one seems to know and everyone who would have any information and kept the secrets brought them to the grave. There are rumors on who his father is, but no one knows for sure.

The fact that my first cousin stole my identity, received a ticket in my name, and ruined 6 months of my life! She got a speeding and no proof of insurance ticket. She paid the tickets thank god or there would have been a bench warrant out for me. I found out when my car insurance rates went through the roof! I had to go down to the court house and sign all sorts of papers after I had spent hours on the phone with police and the prosecuting attorney! We eventually found out it was her, she was arrested and went to court and wouldn't pay the new fines so she spent a couple days in jail for it. Plus in the mean time, Michigan sends out extra bills when you don't have insurance on you, so I got that bill and had to have all sorts of paper work mailed all over to clear that up!! I see her all the time and have to spend Christmas with her like nothing ever happened!

My grandparents always would hint around how we were distantly related to the Gotti's. I never knew what they were talking about until I began a research paper for American Gangsters.

i can't really answer for my own family, cuz we never talk about crap anyways.. but in my ex in laws, they never talked about how my ex wife's little brother may be son of family's close friend's dad.

i saw them two sitting side by side, and their silhouette were exactly the same. same nose, same forehead.. their shadows would be identical. and he doesn't look anything like his own dad.

I'm not telling.lol
