This young lady is not a relative and not my daughter. She is the daughter of an associate. . so I don't know much about her taste in music or anything else. But the party is tomorrow so I really could use some help with some constructive ideas.

Get her a gift card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express). You could also get a gas station gift-card if she has started driving. Everyone can use gas.

My sister-in-law passed away sometime ago but I still remember her bringing me a vase of flowers. They were something she could have picked from her yard but they were all the same height, like a little mound of flowers. Flowers and a card are always nice.

no one has everything, so,,,, take her to a place were she can see life as it really is, a place were most people have much less yet many are happy, then (if you are a parent) tell her that you love her, she will remember

Take her to some where special, especially somewhere she's been wanting to go. Or you can take her to restaurant of her choice.
