Do you remember Eddie Guerrero?
Eduardo Gory Guerrero Llanes died 2 years ago today, so it's time to remember him.
He was already wrestling in WCW when I started watching, though I have to admit that I do not remember his early matches. But when he became a heel and I became a glowing wrestling fan, I soon started to recognize him. In his WCW time, he already used the "I lie, I cheat, I steal" mentality, and of course, I "hated" him for that. His feud with Chavo is the thing that comes to my mind first when I think about him. "Uncle Eddie" wanted to show him how to be successful - by slapping him, humiliating him ("Eddie Guerrero is my favorite wrestler"- shirt) and making him have a guilty conscience ("because of you, Mando was thrown out of the Low-Rider Club!"). He was a perfect heel who always entertained me, especially when he wanted to show Chavo "how to do it right" - and lost his match.
When he went to WWE, I did not notice much of his career any longer, but I was very glad when I heard that he had overcome
his alcohol problem. And there is one moment of his WWE career that I will never forget: http://www.arthurshall.com/images/custom_images/ed...
I knew how much these two guys had worked for this Title and how much they deserved it.
Eddie was survived by his wife Vickie and his three daughters Shaul, Sherilyn, and Kaylie Marie.
A Ten Bell Salute for Eddie Guerreo! Rest in Peace, Eddie, you are not forgotten. Thank you for everything.

WWE Tag Team Championship
WWE United States Championship
Eddie Guerrero will likely go down as one of the greatest Champions in history. From what information I have from his peers, he was a very well liked and well respected person. It was a shame that Guerrero had taken steroids, and other drugs, which gave him an enlarged heart. However, Eddie was able to defeat his demons, so he went down fighting. I remember when I found out when I was on WWE.com. I couldn't believe it when I saw his picture, his name, and the years (1967-2005). I was thinking "You have got to be yanking my chain", but it was true. Eddie Guerrero was gone. It was a sad time for the WWE superstars, and the fans, all over the world. Eddie was admired and respected not just from his peers, but his fans as well. You could see on the first night they wrestled since Eddie's death that the superstars took it hard, as did the fans. You would see fans crying, and carrying Eddie Guerrero signs to events. Some of the superstars were crying as well. That wasn't scripted, their sadness over Eddie's death, was and still is legit. Eddie was also one of the greatest performers in wrestling as well. I wish I could have met him. From what I can tell, he was a cool guy, and treated the fans well. I am sure that the fans that had the honor of meeting him, left with a good feeling. Eddie was also a family man as well. He loved and took care of his family. I think about how did they cope with this loss. He was a good father, and a good husband as well from what I know. His family only had good things said about him. He has made mistakes during his life, but who hasn't? I will miss Eddie, and so will his peers, and his fans. I remember seeing one of his best friends Juventud Guerrera, crying before he competed in a Cruiserweight battle royal. Batista was crying as well. I could only imagine what Chavo felt when he saw him dead in the hotel room. I give Eddie credit for overcoming his problems. He definitely should go to into his death with his head held high. It really sucks that good people like Eddie, can be taken away too soon. All of Eddies fans, and myself included should never forget Eddie, and we as fans could talk to the new generation of fans about Eddie Guerrero. R.I.P. Eddie (1967-2005).
