Who is your Internet Service Provider?

I'm with Tiscali but I'm thinking of changing.

I can never get through to them when I try to ring them about a technical fault. The flipping options keep repeating over and over when I pick one, and then I finally get a hang up!!!

How am I supposed to contact them when I have no Internet connection and nobody picks the bl**dy phone up?!

I have finally been able to log on today after trying for the last few hours.

Do you recommend your service provider?

Thank you

I went with Tiscali once.. They were awful. I'm currently with AOL. You can get an 18 month contract with the first six months at £9.99, then £14.99 thereafter. Download speeds are up to 8Mbps.. I'm getting just over 4Mbs. Customer service is quite good. I would suggest avoiding their homepage though, and just open up IE, or whatever browser you're using instead.

only now after 14months i can say virgin media their first year was awful,I ran their full package ie:tv,phone, broadband which used to be ntl the whole system ran through a set top box and we was always having problems with the broadband connection only when i said i was not satisified with their service this was after umpteen visits by an engineer they sent a different engineer who said the all in one modem is obsolete so now we still use set top box and a separate modem for the broadband and now its never been a problem. And best of all they re:embursed the cost of broadband for the last 12months but alas we are moving to the the highlands and will be using sky i dread to imagine what that is going to be like.

I have AOL Broadband too. I've had it a few months and it has been perfect. Very easy to set up (20 minutes) and everything worked first time. And the speed, according to the broadband test sites, is described as 'very good'.

It only costs £9.99 for the first 6 months then £14.99 a month. You get a wireless router so I can use it with my desktop and also wireless with my PDA.

I've been with AOL for over 3 years and I've never had any major problems internet connection is a solid 4.5Mbps 99.9% of the time.

Its £19.99 a month and I'd highly recommend AOL call: 0800 200 6280 to switch.

    SKY

Ignore the other answers, I work for sky broadband and it uses the old easynet network which is ALOT more faster than all the other providers who use the same BT bandwidth.

Also has great phone support, hey you might even get thru to me at tier 3!!!

I have a Verizon FIOS package. Basic TV (200 channels) internet and phone for $99.99. It has been wonderful. It has never had a failure in a year.

Their customer service is automated, though, and that's frustrating when you just want a simple question answered.

I think mine it comcast. It's a package, so I get basic cable and high speed Internet. Not sure how much it is. I would recommend it. Nothing wrong with it. Wow. You really need to switch.

    Sky

It's ok and do-able. I like the package with the extra programmes on tv though. So it depends what you want really : beneficial stuff/ very good connection.
