What defines being on the "cusp"?

I agree with the posters who've responded "No such thing." If you're talking about house cusps, you've also received good replies.

The "born on the cusp" when it comes to signs is, simply, nonsense. If you know your exact birth time, then you'll know your Sun sign (and Moon sign, Ascendant, etc.). Think of it this way: if you were born one mile from the U.S./Mexico border (or the U.S./Canada border, or any other border), this would not grant you dual citizenship. You'd still be born on one side of the border or the other. Same thing with Signs -- no astrological dual citizenship either.

If you "behave like" some sign other than your natal Sun, it's due to other planetary influences, house placements, and aspects in your chart.

If this were houses we were talking about, I'd give it a 1° orb both ways. Because house cusps change so fast that a second later, the house cusp could be a ° further and put the planet in a different house altogether.

But since we're talking about signs, I don't believe cusps go up. The reason why some people *on the cusp* of a sign act like both signs, is because of Mercury and Venus. They are usually close to the sun and could be in the next sign when the sun is still in one sign, or in the previous sign when the sun has moved into the next sign. People born spot in the middle of Virgo sometimes have Leo characteristics as well, even though they're nowhere near the cusp. That's Mercury and Venus in Leo.

Mars and the moon can add the same confusion.

Hi That's what faith is. Having a strong belief in something, such as Christianity although it has not been completely proven, however, having trust in the things that are there to prove gods existence, such as the bible and jesus' teachings. If there was absolute proof that god existed, then the whole idea of having faith in a supernatural power would be lost, as you would find alot of people believing in god only because there is absolute proof, not because they have absolute faith and they would fail to understand the whole meaning behind the Christian faith. So, in effect, christians are in fact saved because they still believe and have a genuine and life long faith, even with all this banter about having proof, and these are the people who have Truly understood the word of god and the idea of faith. You say that knowledge requires evidence, and that christians are not saved because there belief is not based on evidence, when in fact, the bible is evidence of there being a god, as well as all of the natural works of art of the world and the universe which still cannot be proven through modern science. Not forgetting that, in the old testament, the coming of Jesus was prophesied by between 50 and 60 prophets spanning over 100's of years of existence Lastly, do not forget, that the big bang is just a theory and in the same way, scientist have faith in this belief because there is no real hard evidence that the big bang happened, just evidence, and, as i have mentioned, the bible and Jesus' teachings are evidence aswell

A cusp is when your birthday is the day after another sign ends.

Your either are this sign or the other. and nothing else.

some may say otherwise but this is where i stand.

if you have characteristics of that other sign, its no suprise since you have other planets and theyre likely be on the closest zodiac around.
