Abercrombie and Fitch 3rd interview for Manager in Training, do i have the job?
I had my 3rd interview with the District Manager today for the Manager in Training Position at Abercrombie and Fitch. I was wondering if that pretty much tells me that I got the job? My first interview was with the girl I would be replacing(if I got the job), the second was with two store managers, and the 3rd(today) was with the district manager. It's been a month of waiting and interviewing and I just wish they could just tell me I'm hired or not. Has anyone else been in this situation? I wont find out for another week and a half so maybe if anyone else has been through this process, let me know! Thanks!

Nope. I've gone to a third interview, and then didn't get the job. Good luck!

Hi Lianne, I'm a former Hollister/A&F Assistant Manager.Waiting that long for an answer is sorta suspect. When I was hired, i skipped all those initial interviews, and immediately got an interview with the DM, and hired on the spot that day. The fact that you've waited so long tells me either the DM is really caught between you and another candidate. Or, they pulled the dirty A&F trick of interviewing. That is, "if we don't want you, you'll never hear from us again. Most DM's have made their decision after their first minute of talking with you. Also, most DM's who are interested in MIT candidates will give them their business card after the interview. Did that happen? If the DM has waited this long to get back to you on getting the position, I'm afraid it might not happen. Unfortunately the company operates with the "don't call us, we'll call you". If you haven't heard anything back by a week and a half, then i think it's a 'no thank you'. But, keep applying and show your interest. Re-think what may have gone wrong during the interview. Did you dress 'the part'? Do you have the qualifications? Think over it, give it another shot - stay confident.

I dont know much about job interviews but Im guessing you should be all in abercrombie stuff. Bubbly and exstatic is the way to go! Look HOT. A little messy hair. Look like a model, walk like one. Try piecing together an outfit with abercrombie stuff similar to the outfits tat models from bigger designer companies wear. notice what the people who work there wear. Good luck!

I've never been through that at Abercrombie and Fitch however, I went through 24 interviews and a 2 month wait to get my job at Microsoft so I know how you feel. It's very nerve wracking. Just hang in there......you'll probably get it.

Not necessarily. Today, it takes a bit more. Make sure you send hand-written thank you notes to the people you've interviewed. Especially to the district manager. In the note, briefly thank the person for their time and tell them again that you are excited and look forward to the opportunity to be on their team.
Good Luck

That seems kind of messed up. The way I would feel is that they are interviewing other people and bringing you back to compare to other candidates. A month seems a little long. Just be glad that they don't have you working the position.
