Practice your chipping while your waiting. It's a great practice routine, you will undoubtedly chip a lot better and it kills time.

Your mental game is lacking. I also question your love for the game.
While walking to your ball for the next shot, have some idea what you are going to do. Then admire the surroundings until you get about 10ft from the ball; then you must enter the extreme concentration zone for about a minute while you choose your club, define the shot shape, etc.

If you get bored during 18 holes then don't play in any tournaments. Or see if the 9 hole ladies group have room for you.

Try spicing up your game a little.
1. Choose a hole and tee off with a wiffle ball instead of a regular one.
2. Play a long putt day. In this one, when you make it on the green. Pick up your ball and move it to the farthest spot from the pin to begin putting. Try this one on every hole.
3. Try a game where you must tee off on every hole with a 9 iron.
4. No trap shot game. In this game every time you land in a sand trap you must take your next shot towards the tee not the hole. In this game you can only land on the green out off a trap if it is located behind the green.
5. Bring a topless chick to ride in the cart with you and your game will never be boring.

Play 9. I play with different people all the time, I'd say 25% of the time, someone in my group is only playing 9 that day.
Or, just hit the driving range? Maybe you just want to hit a few instead of dropping your cash when you don't want to be there all day.

Create a game with your group that involves a continious rotation of who tee's off first (wolf) and involves teams based on handicaps. This way, its always changing limiting your boredom.

Only one answer - you have to play a lot faster and this will help you to keep your concentration.
On a normal course about 3½ hours should be the norm

I am a fast player so when I am with slower people I take time to wander through hazards and look for lost balls.

go over your course stratiges where your going to hit your next ball and see if you can hit the ball a certain to get the most out of it.
