Freemason/ Masonic Tattoos?
As an Entered Apprentice I don't plan on doing this until agter my 3rd degree, But is there anything in Masonic Law that prevents me from getting a Masonic Tattoo? Basically I just want the compass and square but want to be sure it's okay first. I would ask my brothers but I want it to be a surprise to a couple of our brothers. I only ask because of my obligation and a sentence that kind of details this... I'm the youngest brother in our lodge at 28 and use tattoos to mark important times in my life that's why I want this. I also feel a little awkward asking my brothers at the lodge because they are much older than I and some frown upon tattoos anyway...
Thanks in advance, any help is appreciated feel free to email me... Chedderbob79@hotmail.com

Freemason's only dogma consists
of moral principles requiring only
common sense to understand them.
Ethics: Do right if you can, above all
do no harm; and if questionable, do not
do it, whatever the law allows.
Freemasons are urged to live the
Masonic Principles and thus, by
precept and example, encourage
others to emulate their actions,
they must abide by their obligations
and not palliate the offenses of their brethern.
I think a question about tattoos is one
you will have to ask directly. Guessing,
or beating around the bush will not help
you here.

There is nothing specific that prohibits Masonic tattoos.
