Can the USA Build a fence to keep the Mexicans in like Israel has done to the Palestinians? Whats wrong w/us?

That is precisly what the Congress passed last year. We have some fences in the worst places...But they authorized about 800 miles more.

And the toad in the White House is not building any, and the congress never passed a spending portion of the bill ....

The result? 3 freakin' miles of fence built...just enough for a backdrop for a photo opp!

... the fence is to keep the Illegals *OUT* not keep "Mexicans" in If we could get the Israelis to help build our fence I'd be pleased as punch... We could return the favor by helping the Israelis subdue those murdering Palestinians. Fair trade in my book.

The real problem is that we are being sold out by divergent politicians of *both* parties... The fence and amnesty are but small parts of the whole puzzle... the Trans Texas Highway, the SPP, NAFTA, The Law of the Sea Treaty, Aid to Mexico... and more are all steps towards a "North American Union" much like the European Union... Look for the "Amero" to replace our currency... Soon you will be living in MexAmerCan... and you won't even have to move.

Alot of the border runs down the middle of the Rio Grande. How would it be possible to put a 'fence' there? You couldn't put it up on Mexican soil. Maybe what you would like to see is a death zone . It would be like the D.M.Z. in Korea. A wide expanse of minefields and barbed wire fences and machinegun towers. That'll keep,m out! In fact I seem to remember that at one time a leader of a country in Europe came up with what he called "the final solution"! What exactly do you want? Maybe there should just be a wall around you!

what? you want to build a fence through the middle of mexico and annex northern mexico? that's what Israels' wall is for. it was ruled illegal by the World Court with only one abstention. it's so unanimously illegal that George Bush had to acknowledge it. i don't think he meant it but he had to acknowledge it.

i am having a hard time trying to figure out why anyone would want to annex northen Mexico.

I'm not a big fence guy. I do know that the country that builds the fence, usually ends up being the corrupt country. (Germany, China) We just need to either imprison the people hiring them or just assimilate Mexico. Also Israel has guns on the other side of their fence. I we did we would be called vigilantes again by GWB

If there was a common North American Currency then Mexico will have to build a fence to keep the Americans out.

There is one major difference with this.

The US and Israel build fences to keep people out. The USSR (Berlin Wall) and China built theirs to keep their people in and secluded from the rest of the world.

We can, although there will always be somebody who can find a way in, but we won't until we actually have the will to do so. There are too many people making money on the backs of illegal immigrants who don't really want the flow to be stopped. Until they are out of power, we won't keep them out.
