I Can't Stand Ungrateful People!?!?

And i'm talking about everyday....not just thanksgiving.

Don't you ever feel blessed just to be born a human. Not a bug. Or a plant. Or a cell.

Don't you care that there are so many people with no roofs over their heads. That there are people suffering in hospitals. People suffering who cant afford to go to a hospital.

Arent you happy you live in a free country.

The air you breathe.

The family/friends you have.

When will people open their eyes.

I can't stand the words "I don't care"

Think about that the next time you buy the lastest shoes or ipod or car or house or computer.

Because you should be happy you were even BORN in your family, in this country, in that house, with your health, and your freedom.

Because without any of that......a lot of things would be impossible.

anyone share my opinions or care to add any of their own?

WOW. The only thing I can think of to add is being grateful for the freedom to be able to write what you just did. The freedom to express your opinion.

It's true that there will always be somebody worse off than us, and that life is a precious gift to be highly valued, however, your statement is a little judgemental. Some of the people you refer to have problems with the way they were brought up to see the world. They may have been used and abused when they were younger, so their vision will be somewhat pesimistic. Optimisim is a great thing, but it can only be afforded to those who have been lucky enough to step back and smell the roses. Maybe you should try being a bit more understanding to those who haven't had that fortune.

"Don't you care that there are so many people with no roofs over their heads. That there are people suffering in hospitals. People suffering who cant afford to go to a hospital. "

UGH I know.. I am always trying to find ways to improve the world and so many people just don't give a crap..

True gratefulness is a wonderful attitude to have. However, you sound angry; so I guess there's something you can't find a reason to be grateful for. Gratefulness also includes acceptance of what is there, whether it's good or not. Do you need to accept that there are those who are not grateful?

It's important to appreciate the wonderful things around us, but also to recognize the things that should be changed.

For instance, it annoys me when any criticism of the government is met with "You should appreciate the freedom you have here."

I do. Which is why I exercise my freedom to discuss what should be changed.

i don't understand why you think everyone is ungrateful. you sit there on your computer typing away about suffering people and buying i pods but you yourself are obviously fortunate enough to have a computer to type on and are using it to complain to the world instead of making a difference like you seem to think everyone else should.
