What has been the worst snow year ever in Colorado?

I'm starting to get nervous. We only have like 6 inches of real snow up in the mountains of Colorado and it's already past Thanksgiving. I was just wondering what the worst snow year ever has been in Colorado, and how this year compares so far.

Not sure of the WORST year, but last year was bad!!! I was driving from Co Springs to TN and hit ice on the KS border...then on the way back, that huge storm hit and I got stuck in po-dunk Colby, KS because the roads were all closed going in and out of CO.

I doubt this year will be as bad...but then again, the thing about living in Colorado weather...wait 5 mins or drive 5 miles and it changes.

This has been pretty light so far. I'm from Fort Collins (and my parents live in Littleton). Usually it's off to a better start than this. But that happened last year, and then all of a sudden we got dumped on all through December and part of January.

As far as the worst snow year, I don't know. It depends where you're talking about because it varies between the plains and the mountains. One of the worst snow storms in the Denver area was 2003 though, when about 3 ft fell in like 2 days.
