Because large corporations in this country would rather go overseas to places that don't have the same wage laws we do in America. They hire workers for pennies on the dollar. So in short, since the corporations would rather send labor abroad than pay the money to give Americans jobs that are needed here, we get a substandard, questionably safe product and the CEOs are laughing all the way to the bank with their multi-million dollar a year salaries. People just need to remember that you really do get what you pay for!
