scottrade is a great site, and for $7 a trade it is a little high but they are very quick to purchase your stocks, and they are well worth it. If you are going to join then email me for some free trades! Also if your looking for good stocks to buy once you've opened an account then check out http://goldenbullstocks.com/ give them a test drive you will be impressed!

Sounds like you might want to invest in DRIP funds. I would suggest www.computershare.com. You can invest your funds directly with different companies such as: McDonald's, Pepsi, Coca-Cola, Wal-Mart. Their fees are low and you can invest as little ($10) or as much (up to $250k) as you would like. Good luck.
