family he is a permit resident in italy with a italian permit, identiy card, bank account, and also has fixed contract work with an employer in a textile factory. my question is when any of you have applied for a spouse visa did you ever get refused and then was successful afterwards, what documents do you provide to really proof your in a relationship as in my case we see each other every 3-5months depending on work commitments, we phone and text each other every day, we send birthday and xmas cards and regular stuff to each at least every 4months or on special occasions, we write and email each other. we have hotel, car rental receipts, shopping receipits postage receipts. so i want to know if thats enough proof. also he has visited the uk b4 on a visit visa applied twice came 4 times and even stayed for 2months on his last visit. he has never been refused b4. also will he be able to get a job over here as well..please reply with serious and positive answers and negative answers

Update:

What do you mean "Will he be able to get a job over here"?

There are loads of British people who are out of work wanting to know the same thing - "will they be able to get a job"!

He'll just have to join the queue! He's no more important than they are.

As other posters say, why not go and join him in Italy?

Hi, I don't understand what family he stays with in Italy is it his parents, if so how long has he been in Italy does he have citizen-ship or does he have to renew his permit at timely intervals? When did you get married, do you have any children together this is all information the embassy will ask for, when I married my Ukrainian wife it only took 1hour to get spousal visa but indefinite leave to remain was a different story, it was a nightmare, if you would like to email me direct I will go into further details of what we had to do, you will need to prove how long relationship was before marriage, do you have the means to support your husband if he does not get a job, and also do you have accommodation suitable to live in, I know these questions sound silly but you can be refused and then you must start all over again, take care & good luck

When my wife saw this question, her immediate reaction was to ask why you do not join your husband in Italy ? That seems to be where his home is. And that is what my own wife did. She left her family overseas to join me in the UK.

Why does your husband want to come to the UK ? He seems to be settled in Italy, with all correct documentation. And that would be the line taken, I imagine, by a UK immigration officer, if your husband were to apply for a spouse visa.

And it sounds, from what you say, as if he has already been refused a spouse visa. What was the reason given for the refusal ?

The British gravy train derailed the day we let the government take us into Europe, tell your Ghanaian husband there are not enough jobs houses or hospital beds to sustain the people legally or illegally in this country, let alone those that try getting in by the 3-5 year marriage plan.

it sounds like you have made at least one big mistake in your life, don't compound it by trying to bring in your convenience husband and his family.

It sounds as if you would have enough evidence of contact, and this should be enough to convince the ECO that this is a genuine relationship. If they have approved his visit visa then this is a good indication that they think he is a genuine person.

The next hurdles will be the maintenence and accommodation tests.
