Color in urine is dependent on the way that a particular individual processes the food and liquids that they consume. Spinach and beets are both known to cause oddly colored urine in some people, though not all people by any stretch. The color of your urine is also highly dependent on how well hydrated you are, so you may notice that it is darker/more yellow when you first wake up.

Have you tested that? I think you might be surprised if you pee into a colorimeter.
