Help finding a Christmas decoration!!?

If you have a Home Depot or Lowes in your area, talk to customer service about hiring someone to cut one from outdoor grade plywood for you and paint an elf on it. You may have to come up with the design yourself, or do an internet search for an elf pattern. The person cutting it out may be able to enlarge it for you. Even try your local library to do that, too. If no luck there, contact your local high school woodshop teacher about having a person in his/her class do it for you, the cutting I mean. You would have to provide the wood, of course. Then after it's all painted and varnished, you can surprise your dad by setting it at the end of your driveway. Oh, I almost forgot. Have the woodcutter attach a stand to the back so it doesn't fall over. He'd love it !, and it wouldn't be too hard to store, either. Since it is going to be at the end of your driveway, you probably should paint both sides. Use an all-weather paint, or craft paint, which is easy to use and fairly inexpensive(I buy mine at Walmart), and seal it with an all purpose water based varnish. Check out garden stores! My mom has a garden gnome that looks like an elf wearing a Santa hat. They have so many different options with various colours and positions that I'm sure you could find something appropriate!

Try a hardware store, or a novelty store - they're bund to have it. You get all kinds of ceramic, plastic and even concrete cement figurines at garden shops too - which can be painted in bright colours!
