You're having one of THOSE days eh?Well, I think we've all been there at some time.

Sorry to be so predictable with my answer but today it happens to be true...I KNOW people who are definately having a worse day...than you.

My mother is fighting for her life ...as I write.

I signed in tonight... to escape a little.

Don't give up the studies we need you... nurses are wonderful people.

    Good luck

My advice to you is drink heavily! Well maybe not heavily but you need to let everything go every once in a while and forget the world exists. Drink, smoke some dope (I know dopes for dopes but you won't get a DUI or have a hangover) and find a sex buddy to get together with once a week for a little real "me time". No small talk or trying to impress each other, just some real passion.

Life is what you make of it so you are obviously neglecting the thing that matters most - that would be you. I did 20-some years in the military and am now a full time, third year education student. I am in the same situation as you with part time work and studying so I know what you are talking about.

So start putting yourself ahead of all the other crap everyone else thinks is important like the honor roll.

Girlfriend I can't help you right now because I am wondering the same question 2. These Beeoches at my job talk about me behind my back and take credit for work that I do. They both are single, old and fat and have no lives. So they want to start drama at work. I wish I could just quit but it's not that easy..also I work in a law office and you wouldn't expect such childish behavior. All I can say is at least when your done with school you can look forward to a good career and social life :-)

I'm also a third and final year student studying English and sociology and politics and i know exactly how you feel! Ive just finished studying and ive a headache and im pis sed off!

Even though i wouldnt go so far as to say i enjoy what im studying i look at the bigger picture. In three years i hope to be a qualified social worker. I need at least to get a second class honours to be accepted into the masters programme and thats what im concentrating on.

I really want a car at the moment but i have no job so im reduced to walking everywhere (i hate buses!) but i dont mind so much because i know when im qualified ill be able to afford my favourite car and be happy because i know ive earned it through own sheer hard work.

Im coming near the end now of my three year degree and starting to feel very pleased with myself for continuing my 3 years in university. It gives you sooo much confidence in yourself

Yea things suck so bad now. Look in a year or two's time. You'll be a qualified nurse. Concentrate on the future now. Its what you're working for...

    Good luck!

I'm excited for you. Not only are you in for a great career that makes pretty good money, but you'll be in a position to really help people, to heal them. Trust me the people that you see that aren't working as hard as you are will be more miserable than you later on. Far from feeling sorry for you I admire you. As a person whose had some serious medical problems in the past it was people like you who put in the hard work and learned from the essays they wrote how to take care of me and manage me back to good health.

Thank you for choosing a career that will make a big difference in somebody's life. The sacrifice and hard work you're putting in now is worth the future rewards.

Try being on SSDI. No life, no transportation, not even to the store, no money to live on. Not enough food, run out of Social Security money way before the end of the month, live on top ramen and frozen veggies, no lady in my life, no nothing, if I didn't live with 6 other people I couldn't afford to live anywhere else. Not enough money for rent. Millions of people are in this situation and no one is getting any relief from the government or anyone else. That should cheer you up now that I have shared how miserable life is for Seniors and some day you too will find out how crappy this will be.

I'll never forget attending my graduation from my community college (before moving onto a university) where I witnessed a BLIND PERSON accepting an associates degree.

Whatever problems anybody has with their schooling, whether it's financial, romance, social, whatever, pales in comparison to this poor guy. He's a 100% blind person, and he graduated with an associates degree! How much harder do you think he had it when it came to his classes, transportation, homework, exams, studying, textbooks, group projects, etc. For anybody out there who thinks that college is too hard or is too much work, just think that if a blind person can graduate from a college there's no reason for any other person to complain.

Just think , you are making something out of your life, that usually should come first then the fun begins. And you don't have to worry about what you wanna be, you will already be a nurse, and you know how many Dr's like nurses lol...

It may suck now, but once you get your career going and can afford those nice things you will be singing a different tune. Just don't lose touch of your friends - why aren't they keeping you in the social scene? Don't be a party pooper!

  • everytime you get really low remember there are people who can't afford a better education. be thankful for what you do have. and if anything.. this will only make you a stronger person and able to work those 24 hours shifts when you become a RN. God wouldn't push anything your way he knew that you couldn't handle. keep your chin up. you've almost completed 3 years! its a great accomplishment!
