Flu shot when babay has a cold?

My baby has a little cold for the past few days. But I need to give him his flu shot today, as we are travelling out of the country this coming Friday. So if I get the shot today, we'll still have 3 days in case he gets a little fever from the shot. I was just wondering if it's OK to give him a flu shot when he has a cold. Please help.

Unless he has a fever or is very ill with the cold, they'll probably give it to him anyway...but the doc will be the best judge of that, not anyone on here. :)

The cold already has your little ones immune system working hard, I don't think it is a good idea to be injecting your baby with something that will be forcing his immune system to work even harder than it already is. The flu shot can wait.

No, you can't give a baby a flu shot unless the baby healthy.

definitely ask his doctor...but normally they won't give any shots if the child is ill.

Well, if the doctor says it's fine then I would trust that.
