What is the difference between "dressing" and "stuffing"? You know for turkey.?
I accidentally put this in ethnic cuisine the first time.

I think it is the same thing. but the different peoples may be call it in different ways.
we can say stuffing and dressing when we use it..

They are the Same thing, some folks say if you cook it outside the turkey it's called dressing and "stuffed" inside the turkey it's stuffing =)
We call it stuffing in my family =)

Perhaps it is the same, but referred to in different ways depending on what you use it for. Stuffing if you use it for the turkey, but dressing if you are eating it alone.

They are pretty much used interchangeably but I believe dressing is outside of the bird or whatever and the stuffing is inside.

I also believe they are probably one in the same, But, I use to understand that stuffing was actually placed inside the birds cavity to cook, and dressing was baked separately in a casserole dish.

they are the same thing; stuffing is "stuffed" in the turkey..and if you dont put it in the turkey;; its dressing

"Stuffing" is cooked in the bird. "Dressing" is cooked in a separate pan outside the bird.

Nothing - they are interchangeable terms for the same thing.
