Longest Acting Career

I was watching the Walton's earlier today. There was an American actress named Buelah Bondi. This Walton's episode was her last or one of her last acting appearances. Ms. Bondi won an Emmy for her role on this Walton's episode. When I looked her up later today it said her years active in acting started in 1895, she would have been 5 or 6 years old, she was born in the month of May in 1889. Her career stopped, like I said earlier, with the Walton's episode, according to the article I read, which aired in 1976. So that span would be 80 to 81 years of active acting. Ms. Bondi acted in theater, Broadway, and film acting. I really enjoyed learning a little about her life today. I then read that she passed away in 1981 the same year I was born, so that made her even more interesting to me* She might not have the longest acting career but she sure is close. So when I looked up today 'longest acting career' and found this blog I wanted to share what I learned about Ms. Buelah Bondi...

With 2015 having started, Mickey Rooney is no longer the actor with the longest active career. Mickey Rooney started acting in 1926 and died in 2014 making his career 88 years long. Rose Marie also started acting in 1926, but her career is still considered active, placing her at 89 years as an actor. they are followed by Danielle Darrieux who started acting in 1931 and is also still active putting her at 85 years active and George Abbott, who technically wasn't a tried and true actor but got his start on Broadway in 1913 before turning to writing/directing in 1918 until 1995 making his career 82 years long.
