When was the Last Time you Looked up a Word in the Dictionary?

What was the word?

Update:

Yes any dictionary version, book or on-line.

Good evening Eve. Extemporaneous always reminds me of the movie "Roxanne" now (with Steve Martin).

Update 2:

WOW! No one looks up simple words for sure in Seniors room. I admire you all for your intelligence here.

That would have been the last time I could find a dictionary. Which, I no longer remember!

Nice to see U Wick! Glad you and the young one are getting haircuts together!

Can't remember the last word, but we like to do the crossword puzzles every morning, and fairly often we have to get out the dictionary. I'm like Dragon...often it will be the simple, everyday words that I question and stumble over. For some reason, they just don't look right and I'll have to go and check.

Being that my grasp of the english language leaves much to be desired: About 50 times a day.

Usually I get a brain burp on the simpliest ones.

Had to verify the correct spelling of onomatopoeia for a friend of mine who didn't believe me when I told him it is a word associated with the comics

Occasionally, online a couple of months ago, because my youngest daughter's boyfriend would not BELIEVE that it had only ONE "s".

A couple of hours ago. I wanted to double check the spelling of disintegrated. I tend to be rather anal about things like that.

around 6pm this evening. Oh...wait...does www.dictionary.com count or does it have to be the actual book? I looked up the word metaphor., even though I know what it means I needed to know exactly how the definition is worded.

I looked one up today. It was for an answer to a question and the word was herald.
