How do I tell this to my friend? Please help!?

I have a fantastic friend, who is very dear to me, and just about one of the nicest people you could ever meet. Unfortunately, when she's drunk, she becomes clingy, easily angered and completely vile. I love her to bits, but I cannot stand it when she gets like this. How do I politely tell her that I don't enjoy her drunken behaiviour? I often find that when we go out, I end up having a terrible time looking after her rather than enjoying myself. Please help

    Try being subtle.

    "Slow down."

    "Calm down."

Don't avoid her. That can only put a strain on a relationship and make things lonely as well as alienate her and possibly make her drink more.

Perform an intervention with mutual friends. Tell her that when she drinks she seems to have a personality shift and it doesn't seem like her. Describe how she acts.

If that doesn't work, here's something drastic.

ONLY AFTER EXPLAINING TO HER HOW SHE ACTS, Video tape her. Play it back for her when she's sober. If she doesn't like the behavior she sees, then she'll change it.

Oh boy - it's a very common thing for someone's personality to change when they are drinking. If you don't like her when she is like this, and as you say - being responsible for her when you are out, simply don't go out with her when you know there is going to be drinking going on.

  • talk to her tell her that wheen she is drunk u have a bad time because she gets angry and all tell her that u want to have fun too and u cant look after her everytime she gets drunk tell her to slow down on the drinking part.......shell understand because she is ur frnd

Tell her that you don't like how she acts when she drinks, if she is a true friend she will understand. Be honest.
