Old fashioned, Victorian, somewhat "dark" names?
I'm about to start working on a story and was looking for some unique, old fashioned, somewhat "dark" names. They will be very eccentric characters. Some ideas I already have include:
Boys:
Edgar, Ichabod, Vladimir, Finbar
Girls:
Viola, Ivy, Ingrid
Any other ideas along that vein?
Amanda- this is why you should read the details more carefully.
Amanda- Much better. Now your "answer" is just plain useless. An improvement... sort of.
I looove Mortimer, Drusilla, and Prudence! Thanks for the great suggestions, everyone!

Ooh! Love the Edgar, Finbar, and Viola in particular.
Other names that might work are: Helen/Helene/Helena, Bertha, Clare/Clara, Irena, Millicent, Bella/Bellamy, Eugenia, Annabel, Drusilla, Prudence, Rosemarie, Tempest, Willow, Yvaine, Scarlett, Agnes, Agatha, Matilda/Mathilde, Clotilda, Tilda/Tilly, Zella/Zelma, Thora, Mona, Cecelia, Veronica, Romilly, Carrie, Lottie, Winona, Nola, Ophelia, Lenore, Cordelia, Iris, Lucretia, Magnolia, Mildred, Vivian, Rowena, Philomena, Eugene, Thurman, Watson, Wyatt, Wallace, Enoch, Clyde, Claude, Cyrus, Bedford, Aloysius, Theodosius, Dempsey, Dexter, Fletcher, Lyle, Porter, Franklin, Sebastien, Konstantine/Constantine, Victor, Hugo, Alexandre, Bryant, Byron, Gerard, Lloyd, Blake, Gregor, Alistair, Rowan/Rowen (unsure of which is male/female lol), Asher, Oscar, Cesar, Jasper, Vester, Mason, Ivor, etc.
Good luck writing! Sorry for making you read that huge mess up there - I just wrote as I thought of them lol.
PS you could also try searching baby names that mean 'dark', if that helps. Melanie or Melody is another I just thought of.
