Why are redheads so crazy?

No, really. We're not. I can be a little hot headed, but to be honest, everybody has a character flaw of some sorts.

Crazy Redheads

Just because two things share one similiarity (hair + behavior both share the fact they're somewhat genetic, for example) doesn't mean that the correlation is valid. So until there's scientific proof, redheads are neither more or less insane than blondes or brunettes! O:-)

I think you're just meeting the wrong redheads ;)

We all aren't crazy. But I think the notion that all redheads are crazy goes back to the idea that redheads = Irish (which isn't always true by the way). And when Irish women get mad - boy we get mad! I happen to have Irish blood in me and I am a redhead. My husband always tells me when I get really mad (not just mad but steaming mad) that my Irish temper comes tearing out! To him that's kinda scary so he makes sure not to get me that mad (he'll stop short of it if we're arguing about something).

But it doesn't mean all redheads are like that. And just because we Irish redheads get really mad like that, it doesn't mean we're crazy either. Just a little hot tempered.

I don't believe someone's hair color determine's if they're crazy, I've met blonde's, brunettes, and jet black haired men and women who are a bit off their rocker - so it's not a person's haircolor. It's their brain chemistry. In fact, my husband's birth mother is so crazy (a brunette) she is certifiably nuts but it's because of her brain, not the pigment of her hair follicles.

Mark Twain said that "While the rest of the species is descended from apes, redheads are descended from cats".

No, they are totally hopeless.
