Any suggestions on how to deal with birth control side effects?

I've been on trinessa for about a month. It's my first birth control pill. It makes me queasy, light-headed, and generally uncomfortable. I know with birth control it can take awhile for your body to become accustomed to it, so I'm willing to take it for another month or two. But how do I deal with the nausea and other side effects during this trial period? Does eating more protein help? Ginger? Peppermint? None of the above?

In your place I would go back to the doctor and ask about another pill. In the meantime ginger is a good home remedy for nausea.

There are a lot of different pills out there and it can be trial and error till you find the best one for you.

I was never nauseous when I started my BC and I've been on 2 or 3 different times. You should call your doctor and find out whether that's normal or not. A lower dosage would probably be the thing to help you the best. good luck!
