One of these days I'm going to think of something incredibly charming to write for this profile. Today is not one of those days. Tommorow's not looking so good, either.

  • Problem with youtube replay option?

Back in the old days before the last big update, I could wait for a video to download on youtube but once it downloaded, I could replay it mulitple times without a problem.

Now, if I hit replay, it has to download the video over again. This would be fine and dandy except I'm on dial-up and it takes 4 years to download a file.

So, other then joining the 21st century and getting rid of the dial-up, any other ideas to make youtube replay videos like it use to?

  • Is curl wax also a heat protectant?

I was wondering if curl wax is a heat protectant on it's own or do you have to use something else first to protect hair from the heat of the curling iron and then use the curl wax?

If it makes a difference, I have chemically relaxed hair.

  • Reccomend some funny science fiction books, please?

I enjoyed the Hitchiker's Guide to The Galaxy series and was wondering if there were any other science fiction books that were comedic? Spoofs or just plain funny in their own right? Any suggestions?

  • Is it possible for bottled ginger beer to go bad?

I bought some non-alcoholic ginger beer from World Market and it tastes like it's fermented or something. It's by the company The Ginger People and has real pieces of ginger in it. So, if a bottle of ginger beer with real ginger in it is old enough, can it start fermenting or going bad?

  • Any suggestions on how to deal with birth control side effects?

I've been on trinessa for about a month. It's my first birth control pill. It makes me queasy, light-headed, and generally uncomfortable. I know with birth control it can take awhile for your body to become accustomed to it, so I'm willing to take it for another month or two. But how do I deal with the nausea and other side effects during this trial period? Does eating more protein help? Ginger? Peppermint? None of the above?

  • Is baby yarn really necessary?

I'm working on crocheting some baby blankets for a couple of new moms. I've discovered that I'm really not a big fan of baby yarn, it just seems to tangle very easily. My question is, if I use a soft worsted weight yarn for baby items would it be okay or do I risk irritating a baby's delicate skin?
