We don't have a 'rite-of-passage'. There is no ceremony where we spank each other with wet noodles and pound on our chest to the beat of tap-dancers tapping wildly in the amazon rain. We just realize we are gay one day and that is all there is too it. The reason why men are so much more homophobic than females is the connection between loss of masculinity and homosexuality that society endorses.
