Who saw the Golden Compass tonight?

I posted this over on Movies, too, but I want to ask here as well.

I saw it tonight and really enjoyed it. Did anybody else see it? What did you think?

Update:

Pants: It's reasonably fast-paced and complex, very entertaining and contains some really interesting ideas. It has only one scene which might be considered somewhat gory (though it doesn't even show blood, really), though there are a few scary ideas which may be a bit much for very small children or those who are frightened easily. There is no nudity.

I recommend it! It's an engaging fantasy. :)

Update 2:

Positive: the question does belong here, too, because there is a religious boycott against this movie, and I wanted the opinions of people who discuss religion.

    I saw it opening night

I loved it. I really hope they make the sequels.

The book is better but then books normally are.

I also found it very fast paced, easy to follow and I thought it would be quite suitable for younger children (hence it's rating I guess).

    Nicole Kidman was superbly sinister

Also - armoured polar bears FTW!

I observed it on Wednesday. I enjoyed it till it have been given to the top of the action picture and that i found out that the action picture does not incorporate the final financial disaster or so of the e book the place somthing substantial happens.

haven't seen it but would really like to. I don't buy into the whole against christianity thing so I'm all for it. I'm actually looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about.

Why are you posting this question here? It has nothing to do with R&S. Go to the Entertainment section. (I guess u posted it here b/c everyone seems to hang out here than anywhere else, b/c everywhere else is soo dead. lol)

To answer your question: No, but I really want too.

I saw it and I absolutely loved it! I can't see why someone would criticize such a good movie! My friend is all 'they kill God' but they don't! I don't see anything relating to God about it.
